Mothman

The Mothman first appeared in Point Pleasant West Virginia in 1966 and shortly after his arrival The Silver Bridge collapsed and 46 people perished in the accident. Speculation has swirled for decades that this strange cryptid was either responsible for the accident or was trying to warn the community of the impending tragedy. Since then, the Mothman has been spotted all over the world, sometimes just prior to other accidents and tragedies.
